Set up

Once your postini filter has been enabled and as soon as it identifies its first item of spam, you will receive an email entitled:

Subject: pink ink. First Junk Email Safely Quarantined

please use the details enclosed in the email to log into your account at http://login.postini.com and set your postini password.

Operation

Once you have logged in you can:

• review quarantined messages in Junk

• click the subject line to verify if you want to deliver or delete a message
• click Deliver to the right of a given message to deliver it
• use the check box to select multiple items then click Delete Selected or Deliver Selected to delete or deliver them
• click Delete All to remove all quarantined items at once
• if you wish to deliver an item you will be asked if you want to approve the sender so future messages from that address will not be quarantined

• review and disinfect messages for delivery in Virus
• review Delivered messages
• review deleted messages in Trash and purge them completely

or by clicking My Settings you can:

• Approve Senders: by adding an email address or entire domain you can ensure postini will not block items
• Block Senders: by adding an email address or entire domain you can ensure postini will block items it may have missed
• Manage Junk Filters: change the filter levels and thereby the number of items postini will quarantine

If you forget your password:

• attempt to log in and click Forgot your password? on the subsequent page
• a temporary password will be sent to you allowing you to log in and reset your password
