Netflix’s ‘Bridgerton’ Tops Weekly Whip U.S. Streaming Originals Chart

Netflix’s “Bridgerton” topped the Whip Media chart of streaming originals among U.S. consumers for the week ended June 16.

Part two of season three of the historical romance series debuted June 13. Set against the backdrop of the Regency era, the series, from Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland, follows the lives and loves of the rich and noble Bridgerton family.

Landing at No. 2 on the chart was “The Boys,” season four of which debuted on Prime Video June 13 with three episodes. The satirical superhero series based on the comic book of the same name follows a team of vigilantes who combat superpowered individuals who abuse their powers.

Dropping from the top spot to No. 3 on the chart was Disney+’s latest “Star Wars” series “The Acolyte,” which debuted June 4. The series is set at the end of the High Republic era before the events of the main “Star Wars” films and follows a Jedi investigation into a series of crimes.

Falling one spot to No. 4 on the chart was “Criminal Minds,” with a new season that premiered on Paramount+ June 6. The continuation of the long-running CBS procedural follows the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI as they hunt killers.

Dropping three spots to No. 5 on the chart was “Evil,” season four of which started streaming on Paramount+ May 23. The series follows a psychologist working with the Catholic church to investigate purported supernational events.

TV Time, a Whip Media company, is a free TV and movie viewership tracking app with more than 25 million global users. The streaming originals chart rankings are determined by streaming original TV series with the greatest share of views in the given week, among a balanced panel of U.S. users of the TV Time app.
