Merchandising: Amazon Has Exclusive ‘Civil War’ 4K Disc

One of the most notable new home entertainment releases of July 9 was A24’s Civil War. Disc configurations released by Lionsgate include a 4K/Blu-ray combo pack and a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. There was also an exclusive version of the 4K disc with unique lenticular cover art and additional bonus material available at Amazon.
The extras on the widely released edition include the six-part documentary “Torn Asunder: Waging Alex Garland’s Civil War” and the theatrical trailer. Amazon’s edition has an exclusive Q&A with director Alex Garland and the cast.
The Amazon 4K version is available from the online retailer for $34.99 (compared with $24.96 for the standard 4K or $19.96 for the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack). However, the listing a day after the release date indicates copies are in short enough supply that it will take at least a week for orders to arrive.
