Lionsgate Television Group Promotes Taylor du Pont to Succeed Retiring Exec Bobby Williams

Lionsgate Television Group has promoted Taylor du Pont to head of television post-production, succeeding Lionsgate veteran Bobby Williams, who is retiring after 23 years at the studio.

In her expanded role, du Pont will oversee post-production on the studio’s slate of scripted series, including “The Rookie,” renewed for its eighth season at ABC, with a “Rookie” spinoff in the works; the reimagining of the classic “Robin Hood” for MGM+; “The Rainmaker” for USA Network; and multiple Power Universe series and “Spartacus: House of Ashur” for Starz.

“Taylor is a rising star within our Television Group, and she brings strong post-production experience and expertise to her new role,” Lionsgate television group chair and chief creative officer Kevin Beggs and vice chairman Sandra Stern said in a statement. “We want to extend our gratitude to Bobby for his 23 years of valuable and distinguished service to the company, shepherding our most iconic television series through post-production.”

Since joining Lionsgate eight years ago, du Pont has risen through the ranks, most recently serving as director of television post-production. She has shepherded many series including the Seth Rogen comedy “The Studio” for Apple TV+, “Home Economics” for ABC, and “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” for NBC. She also worked on “Orange Is the New Black” for Netflix.

Williams has served as EVP, head of television post-production, throughout the Television Group’s growth into a $1.5 billion-plus annual revenue organization, working on such series as “Mad Men,” “Orange Is the New Black,” “Weeds,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Nashville” and the “Power” franchise. Most recently, he spearheaded post-production on “The Studio,” “Mythic Quest,” “Acapulco,” “The Rainmaker,” and the “John Wick” prequel The Continental, for Peacock and Amazon Prime.
