Warner’s ‘Sinners,’ ‘One Battle After Another’; Netflix’s ‘Frankenstein,’ ‘Adolescence’; HBO Max’s ‘The Pitt’ Top Critics Choice Awards 2026

Warner Bros. Pictures’ action horror drama Sinners, Netflix’s Frankenstein from director Guillermo del Toro, and the U.K. childhood drama “Adolescence” tied for the most wins with four each at the 31st Critics Choice Awards held Jan 4 at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif.

Warner’s comedic action drama One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, won three awards, including Best Picture. Anderson also took home trophies for both Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Frankenstein won Best Supporting Actor for Jacob Elordi, Best Production Design for Tamara Deverell and Shane Vieau, Best Costume Design for Kate Hawley, and Best Hair and Makeup for Mike Hill, Jordan Samuel and Cliona Furey.

Sinners, which led all content with 17 nominees, won Best Young Actor/Actress for Miles Caton, Best Original Screenplay for Ryan Coogler, Best Casting and Ensemble for Francine Maisler, and Best Score for Ludwig Göransson.

In the TV series categories, “Adolescence” was awarded Best Limited Series, Best Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for Stephen Graham, Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for Owen Cooper, and Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for Erin Doherty.

“The Pitt” and “The Studio” followed closely behind, with each winning three trophies overall.

Best Drama Series went to “The Pitt,” which also won Best Actor in a Drama Series for Noah Wyle and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Katherine LaNasa.

“The Studio” won Best Comedy Series, Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Seth Rogen, and Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Ike Barinholtz.

The awards show, hosted by Chelsea Handler, was executive-produced by Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment. The Critics Choice Awards are represented by Dan Black at Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
