Netflix Bows ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Halloween Costumes

Following the breakout global success of Sony Pictures Animation’s KPop Demon Hunters on Netflix, the streamer has launched a line of Halloween costumes for fans of their favorite HUNTR/X character.
Costumes, which are in kids and adult sizes, are available at Spirit Halloween retail stores — priced from $59.99 for kids and $69.99 for adults. Wigs cost an extra $26.99.
Kids costumes will be dropping on store shelves and the Spirit Halloween website in early October, with adult costumes launching online only.
“KPop Demon Hunters has grown into a global sensation, skyrocketing to success thanks to its devoted fan base,” Kym Sarkos, EVP at Spirit Halloween, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to team up with Netflix to help adults and kids alike bring the world of HUNTR/X to life.”
The movie has generated has become Netflix’s most-watched English language with with 314.2 million views. A theatrical sing-along version topped the Aug. 24 weekend box office with an estimated $17 million to $19 million in ticket sales. Netflix hasn’t released actual box office revenue numbers.
Spirit Halloween stores also sell Netflix’s “Squid Game” and “Wednesday” themed costumes, in addition outfits for Disney’s “Star Wars” and “Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires,” and Universal’s “Jurassic Park,” among others.
