Universal Pictures Home Entertainment July 29 reported second-quarter (ended June 30) revenue of $245 million, which was down about 18% from revenue of $299 million during the previous-year period. Through six months of the fiscal year, sales of physical, digital and related studio media topped $527 million, down about 8% from $573 million in the year-ago period.

Theatrical revenue increased $191 million to $198 million, from $7 million in the previous-year period — due largely to the box office success of F9: The Fast Saga. When combined with content licensing ($1.8 billion) and home entertainment, total studio revenue topped $2.2 billion, up 10% from $2 billion a year ago.
