Kino Lorber on July 11 will release the documentary Only in Theaters on DVD.
The film has been available for digital purchase on Amazon’s Prime Video, YouTube Movies and TV and Apple since May 2.
Only in Theaters chronicles the history of the Laemmle Theatres arthouse cinema chain in Los Angeles., spotlighting the Laemmle family, which over four generations has been supporting and popularizing independent films and documentaries, and their filmmakers.
The DVD edition of Only in Theaters features additional interviews with Ava DuVernay, Cameron Crowe, Leonard Maltin and more. It also includes an audio commentary from director Raphael Sbarge, an alternate opening sequence, a proof-of-concept video, outtakes, and the original theatrical trailer.
The film was produced by Wishing Well Entertainment and has a runtime of 94 minutes.
