Netflix Renews ‘The Hunting Wives’ for Second Season

Netflix Sept. 12 announced it has renewed the hit series “The Hunting Wives” for a second season from Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment, to be released exclusively in nearly all countries where the streaming service is available.

Based on the bestselling novel by May Cobb and adapted for television by Rebecca Cutter, the series follows the lives of a group of women in a small Texas town who are drawn into a dangerous world of obsession, secrets and murder when a teenage girl is found dead in the woods.

The series stars Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jamie Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit and George Ferrier.

The second season will be based on an original script to continue the storyline.

Season one, released by Netflix July 21, spent five weeks on the streamer’s global English top 10 list, amassing more than 20 million views despite being available only in the United States.
