A24’s ‘Warfare’ Streaming on HBO Max in U.S. Starting Sept. 12

The A24 war drama Warfare will make its streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max in the United States Sept. 12, a day before its premiere on HBO linear at 8 p.m. ET Sept. 13.

Written and directed by Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland (Civil War, 28 Days Later), Warfare embeds audiences with a platoon of American Navy SEALs on a surveillance mission gone wrong in insurgent territory, told in real time and based on the memory of the people who lived through it.

The film stars D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Taylor John Smith, Michael Gandolfini, Adain Bradley, Noah Centineo, Evan Holtzman, Henrique Zaga, Joseph Quinn and Charles Melton. It was produced by Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, Matthew Penry-Davey and Peter Rice.

Warfare made $33 million at the global box office and was released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray disc July 1.
