Disney-owned 20th Century Studios’ Alien: Romulus<\/em> topped the chart of the 10 most-popular films on Fandango\u2019s transactional digital service Fandango at Home for the week ended Oct. 20.<\/p>\n

Alien: Romulus<\/em>, which became available for premium digital rental and purchase Oct. 15, takes the \u201cAlien\u201d franchise back to its roots. In the film, while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young colonizers come face-to-face with the most relentless and deadly life form in the universe.<\/p>\n

Debuting at No. 2 on the chart was Universal\/DreamWorks\u2019 animated The Wild Robot<\/em>, also available for premium digital rental and purchase Oct. 15. An adaptation of Peter Brown\u2019s No. 1 New York Times<\/em> best-seller, it\u2019s an adventure starring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong\u2019o as the voice of Roz, a robot that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must adapt to the harsh surroundings. Gradually Roz starts building relationships with the animals on the island, including a fox voiced by Pedro Pascal, and becomes the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling named Brightbill (voiced by Kit Connor).<\/p>\n

Falling from the top spot to No. 3 on the chart was Warner Bros.\u2019 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. <\/em>Tim Burton\u2019s sequel to his 1988 film Beetlejuice<\/em> debuted for premium digital purchase and rental on Oct. 8. In the sequel, Michael Keaton returns to his iconic role as the mischievous spirit Beetlejuice alongside Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and two-time Emmy winner Catherine O\u2019Hara as Delia Deetz, with new cast members Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti in his feature film debut, Jenna Ortega as Lydia\u2019s daughter Astrid, and Willem Dafoe. Meanwhile, the two-film collection of both \u201cBeetlejuice\u201d films landed at No. 5 on the chart.<\/p>\n

Dropping two spots to No. 4 on the chart was Marvel Studios\u2019 Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em>. The third \u201cDeadpool\u201d film, which debuted Oct. 1 for premium digital rental and sale, finds Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) teaming up with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) to stop the destruction of his universe.<\/p>\n
