Warner’s Sinners<\/em> was No. 1 on the top 10 list of physical-media sales for July 2025, according to Circana’s VideoScan tracking service that compiles DVD and Blu-ray transactions.<\/p>\n

The horror flick from director Ryan Coogler stars Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers and former mob enforcers who return to their hometown to open a blues club, which is promptly attacked by vampires. The cast also includes Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O\u2019Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller and Delroy Lindo. The film, which earned $278.6 million at the domestic box office, was released on disc July 8 and topped the weekly sales charts its first two weeks on shelves. Its first few weeks of sales also allowed it to crack the year-to-date top 10 chart, at No. 10.<\/p>\n

No. 2 in July was Disney-owned Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*<\/em>. The film assembles an unconventional team of disillusioned castoffs whose survival depends on uncovering a secret program to create new superheroes. The actioner earned $190.3<\/span><\/span> million at the domestic box office and was released on disc July 29, so it only had a couple of days to impact the monthly chart.<\/p>\n

The top seller for June, Warner’s A Minecraft Movie<\/em>, slipped to No. 3 in July. Based on the popular “Minecraft” video game franchise, the film features a cast led by Jack Black and Jason Momoa, and centers on a group of people who are sucked through a portal to the Overland, a dimension where everything is made of cubes and monsters attack at night.<\/p>\n

No. 4 in July was another Warner release, the horror sequel Final Destination Bloodlines<\/em>. The sixth “Final Destination” film, and first in 14 years, tracks a family trying to thwart death’s design after learning their grandmother averted a potential mass casualty disaster decades earlier. It became the most successful box office earner in the franchise with $138 million domestically, and arrived on disc July 22.<\/p>\n

No. 5 was MGM’s A Working Man<\/em>, distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment, down three spots from June. Jason Statham stars as Levon Cade, who left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life working construction. But when his boss\u2019s daughter, who is like family to him, is taken by human traffickers, his search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined. The film was directed by David Ayer, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sylvester Stallone.<\/p>\n

No. 6 was Universal’s collection of DreamWorks Animation’s three “How to Train Your Dragon” animated movies, which got a boost due to the theatrical release of a live-action remake of the first film. It was No. 7 the previous month.<\/p>\n

The No. 7 July seller was Steven Speilberg’s 1975 shark-attack classic Jaws<\/em>, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. It had been No. 5 in June, when it celebrated its 50th anniversary.<\/p>\n

No. 8 was Paramount’s Yellowstone: Season 5, Part 2, <\/em>which had been No. 3 in June. The collection includes the last six episodes of season five of \u201cYellowstone,\u201d which chronicles the exploits of the Dutton family, who control the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States.<\/p>\n

No. 10 for the month was Neon and Decal’s The Monkey, <\/em>adapted from the Stephen King short story. In the film, when twin brothers find a mysterious wind-up monkey, a series of outrageous deaths tear their family apart. Twenty-five years later, the monkey begins a new killing spree forcing the estranged brothers to confront the cursed toy. It had been No. 6 in June.<\/p>\n

On the year-to-date disc sales chart, the top three titles remained the same, with Universal’s Wicked<\/em> remaining in the top spot, followed by Venom: The Last Dance<\/em> in the second spot and Captain America: Brave New World<\/em> No. 3.<\/p>\n

Universal’s Nosferatu<\/em> remake climbed two spots to No. 4, pushing Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3<\/em> down to No. 5 and Disney’s Moana 2<\/em> to No. 6, while Paramount’s Gladiator II<\/em> remained No. 7.<\/p>\n

A Minecraft Movie<\/em> entered the year-to-date top 10 for the first time at No. 8, having been No. 13 to conclude June. That pushed Yellowstone: Season 5, Part 2 <\/em>down a spot to No. 9. <\/p>\n

Dropping out the year’s top 10 were Universal’s animated The Wild Robot<\/em> and Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King<\/em>.<\/p>\n
