Paramount+ Holds ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’ World Premiere Event

The Paramount+ streaming service Jan. 6 hosted the world premiere of the upcoming original series “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
The star-studded red carpet included cast members Academy Award winner Holly Hunter, Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, Gina Yashere, Sandro Rosta, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard, Karim Diané, Zoë Steiner, Stephen Colbert, Mary Wiseman and WWE superstar Becky Lynch, as well as “Star Trek” franchise veterans Kate Mulgrew, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, David Ajala, Michelle Hurd and Ethan Phillips and Tawny Newsome.
Following a screening of the premiere episode in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos at the LeFrak Theater, guests enjoyed an evening under the stars at the museum’s Cullman Hall of the Universe.
Premiering Jan. 15 on Paramount+, “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” stars Hunter as the Chancellor of the school responsible for training new space cadets in the 32nd century. The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.
