Disney Celebrates Digital Release of ‘Tron: Ares’ With Immersive Experience

Disney Dec. 9 transformed Cosm Los Angeles into the electric universe of Tron for a one-night-only immersive experience celebrating the Dec. 2 release of Tron: Ares for digital rental and sale.
Guests were invited to “enter the Grid” for a special event designed to drop attendees directly into the heart of the Tron universe, allowing guests to feel as if they had stepped straight onto the digitized plains of the Grid.
The evening was centered on a shared reality screening, but beyond the screening, the event provided an opportunity for guests to get up close and personal with the film’s iconic vehicle, the Lightcycle; featured (glowing) signature cocktails; sported a light up “grid” floor; offered an optical illusion “In the Grid” photo booth; and more.
The film arrives on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Jan. 6.
