Warner Bros. Streaming Catalog Movies on YouTube for Free

Warner Bros. Entertainment has begun streaming select full-length catalog movies on YouTube for free and without commercials.

On the studio’s Warner Classics YouTube channel, (which reports having 3.86 million free subscribers), streamers can find access to titles from Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema, including The Wind and the Lion, starring Sean Connery; Michael Collins, starring Liam Neeson; Mr. Nice Guy, starring Jackie Chan; City Heat, starring Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds; The Adventures of Pluto Nash, starring Eddie Murphy; Chaos Theory with Ryan Reynolds; the comedy Waiting for Guffman; American Ninja V; Mutiny on the Bounty, starring Marlon Brando; Dungeons & Dragons; Seven, starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman; The Accidental Tourist; and The Bonfire of the Vanities, among others.

“Watch your favorite full movies here from Warner Bros. Entertainment! All your favorite legends are here, including Jackie Chan, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine O’Hara, Tarzan, Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts, among others,” reads the promo tag line.

Many of these movies were previously found on the former Warner Archives Collection website, a platform launched in 2009 that enabled consumers to buy manufactured-on-demand (MOD) catalog titles shipped on DVD and Blu-ray Disc.

Other studios involved at the time included Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Turner Classics, RKO Radio Pictures, Universal Pictures, and HBO, among others. In 2011, Archives added MOD titles from Sony Pictures, followed by Paramount Pictures in 2013.

In July 2014, Warner Archive introduced the Warner Archive Instant streaming service, which was shuttered four years later in 2018. Many titles transferred to FilmStruck, then to HBO Max in 2020, followed by Max in 2023.
