2020’s ‘Greenland’ Heading to 4K Blu-ray Disc March 31
February 18, 2026
With its sequel headed to disc March 31, the original Greenland is set to join it on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for the first time on the same day from Lionsgate.
In the 2020 disaster drama, as a planet-killing comet races to Earth, John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin) and young son Nathan make a perilous journey from Georgia to their only hope for sanctuary, a military base in Greenland.
The film earned $52.3 million at the global box office, but skipped a U.S. theatrical run due to the COVID-19 pandemic and debuted domestically on PVOD, where it gained a healthy audience and solid critical response, leading to the sequel, Greenland 2: Migration, that arrived in theaters in January and is available now for digital purchase and rental.
The 4K edition of the original Greenland is a combo pack with the film on 4K and regular Blu-ray Discs plus a digital copy code. Bonus Materials include an audio commentary with director Ric Roman Waugh and producer Basil Iwanyk, deleted scenes with intros by Waugh, and a “Humanity” featurette.
A new Blu-ray Disc and DVD with digital copy combo pack also will be available March 31 from Lionsgate. The film’s original 2021 Blu-ray was released by STX Films through Universal.
