‘Severance’ Tops Weekly Whip U.S. Streaming Originals Chart Through Feb. 2

The Apple TV+ series “Severance” retained the No. 1 spot on the Whip Media chart of streaming originals among U.S. consumers for the week ended Feb. 2.
The second season of “Severance” debuted Jan. 17. The series follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott), who leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives.
Up a spot to No. 2 was Netflix’s “The Night Agent.” Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, “The Night Agent” centers on a low-level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings — until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office. The second season debuted Jan. 23.
Down a spot to No. 3 was the Peacock competition series “The Traitors.” The game show, a U.S. version of the reality TV series where contestants must work together to eliminate other contestants, bowed its third season Jan. 9.
Up to No. 4 was the Paramount+ series “Dexter: Original Sin,” the prequel to “Dexter” that depicts the early years of vigilante serial killer Dexter Morgan with the Miami Metro Police Department.
