Peacock Begins Exclusively Streaming Oscar-Nominated ‘Song Sung Blue’ on Feb. 13

NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service will begin streaming the Oscar-nominated Focus Features film Song Sung Blue on Feb. 13.

Based on the award-winning 2008 documentary by Greg Kohs, the film explores the music and the timeless influence of musician Neil Diamond.

Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, in her Academy Award, Golden Globe and Actor Award-nominated role, star in the romance alongside Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson and Mustafa Shakir, among others.

From writer-director Craig Brewer, the film stars Jackman and Hudson as Mike and Claire, two down-on-their-luck musicians who fall in love forming a Neil Diamond tribute band called Lightning and Thunder, rising from a humble garage to dive bar gigs to unexpected hometown stardom.

The movie, which became became available for premium digital rental and sale Jan. 13, generated $55.4 million at the global box office, including $38.9 million across North American screens.
