Cineverse Aug. 22 announced it has inked a deal with Frequency, the engine behind many streaming television channels, to help deliver its portfolio to more than 25 free ad-supported streaming TV platforms.
Cineverse is utilizing the cloud-based platform with automation capabilities with the aim of significantly reducing the resources and time required for channel creation and management.
Tony Huidor, chief technology and COO at Cineverse, said the pact will help the company manage and distribute its 70,000-title content library across multiple platforms more seamlessly, with a high-quality viewing experience for their audiences.
Frequency will also make Cineverse’s Matchpoint advanced VOD platform available across its network, seeking to enable its customers the benefit from the reduced operational costs and distribution efficiencies.
“FAST channels offer a great opportunity to boost the reach of our diverse library of premium content,” Huidor said in a statement.
Frequency’s other entertainment partners include Amazon Studios/MGM, Hearst Television, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Red Bull Media House, BBC Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
