Lionsgate Limited Releasing Tom Berenger Actioner ‘The Substitute’ on 4K Disc March 17

The 1996 crime drama The Substitute will be available as a limited-edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray Disc combo pack with digital copy March 17 through Lionsgate Limited.
The action thriller stars Tom Berenger as a Vietnam vet named Shale who goes undercover as a substitute teacher seeking retribution against the high school gang who beat up his girlfriend (Diane Venora). After uncovering a cocaine highway running through the school involving the gang leader (Marc Anthony) and the school’s shady principal (Ernie Hudson), Shale summons his mercenary pals for war.
The Substitute is listed as No. 37 of the Vestron Collector’s Series. Bonus materials include the film’s theatrical trailer and the featurettes “Power Achieved Is Power Perceived: Director Robert Mandel on The Substitute,” “Color Grade Is in Session” and “Bullet Points: Storyboard-to-Film Exploration.”
