Magnolia Pictures Bows Theatrical Trailer For New Bob Odenkirk Actioner ‘Normal,’ Due in Theaters April 17

Magnolia Pictures Feb. 19 released the theatrical trailer for new actioner Normal, starring Emmy-nominated Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul,” “Breaking Bad”), and slated to hit the box office April 17.

The film was directed by Ben Wheatley, from a story by Odenkirk and “John Wick” creator Derek Kolstad, and produced by Marc Provissiero (Nobody).

The latest neo-Western collaboration between Odenkirk, Kolstad and Provissiero stars Odenkirk as an unassuming substitute sheriff with a troubled past who, after moving to a small, sleepy town, responds to a bank robbery and unknowingly uncovers something far more explosive.

For Sheriff Ulysses (Odenkirk), his provisional posting to the quaint Midwestern American town of Normal was meant to be a welcome respite from both his marital woes and recent moral injuries in the line of duty. But when a botched bank robbery interrupts the municipality’s tranquil pace, a dark secret is inadvertently exposed, and Ulysses soon discovers that the town is anything but its namesake.

Odenkirk has experienced recent box office success playing under-the-radar action heroes in 2021’s Nobody ($57.5 million box office), and 2025’s Nobody 2 ($42.3 million).
