Netflix Fantasy Drama ‘One Piece’ Season 2 Debuts March 10

Netflix is set to release the second season of the fantasy drama “One Piece: Into the Grand Line” on March 10.

In the new season, Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the Straw Hats Pirates (Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar) set sail for the “Grand Line” — a stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.
Luffy dreams of becoming the King of the Pirates by finding the infamous pirate Gold Roger’s mysterious treasure, the One Piece.
“At the end of the first season, our characters made this pledge around a barrel to achieve their dreams, and in season two, we put those dreams to the test,” executive producer Joe Tracz said in Netflix’s Tudum. “Every island we visit in the Grand Line is going to challenge one of the Straw Hats in a unique way, and they’re going to learn that, to fulfill their dreams, they have to rely on each other.”
Based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga of the same name, the live-action series, which was filmed in South Africa, was created in partnership with Shueisha and is produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix.
